im 14, 138lbs and 5 feet 5 and a half. i just learned about bmr and i used it to test my bmr with all the necessary activities and things that i do and i came up with 2458 calories consuumed per day. does that mean if i eat 1700, i will lose 756 calories a day.

i think you're missing the point.. that seems like a pretty high bmr, and your logic is off. bmr is the amount of calories you need to run your body systems. you have to eat at least this amount. everything after relates to all the activities you do in a day. say your bmr is 1800, and you burn 500 cals in a day (this is hypothetical), then you need to consume 500 more cals on top of the 1800 to stay at the exaact same weight. comsume more, and you will gain weight. consume less, and you will lose weight.

try this out. at 14, i think ive already said to you, dont worry so much about this. just focus on a healthy diet and exercise.

auctully my bmr was 1658 i think, but i added thos eminutes of daily activities and i got 2000 sumtin.

the activities included walking, watching tv, and my excercises and everthing i did.
