I watched it
I think fat is passed down from parents but you can always prevent getting as big as them people. Anyone can get fat I was lazy for a year doing nothing and I was building the biggest gut ever. After getting back into working out I feel and look alot better. I try to tell bigger people anyone can be fit but most dont want to hear it. I just feel sorry for the people getting the stomach surgery that seems dangerous to me.

Americans are fat because they are lazy and they eat the wrong foods and eat at the wrong times. Before you bash me, I am an American. :) I can attest that we are by far THE laziest of any society on the planet. We want everything done for us, and we want it done NOW. We also eat way too many simple carbs, and we are not active. Because we are so rushed, we eat a lot of fastfood. And we eat three big meals because of our culture. We don't walk anywhere, and we would rather watch basketball on tv than go play basketball ourselves. That is why we are fat.

Well said gwindalyn. Some of my friends are overweight and lazy. I try to get them to go to the gym or go play basketball with me, but they don't want to. THey don't think that they will be able to get results working out.

Modern western society places a lot of emphasis on immediate results. People don’t think about the long or even medium term consequences of their actions. If you eat lots of junk in the short term you enjoy the taste, in the medium term you will not get the toned body you want, in the long term you vastly diminish your life expectancy.

People are constantly exposed to and compare themselves to extremes, such extremes that they use them as an excuse. If you look at beach model its easy to say I will never get that good, likewise if you see a 400lb man on TV and think I will never get that bad. So why bother denying yourself that short-term satisfaction?

In my opinion if people spend as much time thinking about the long term consequences of their behaviour and putting their plans into action as they do making excuses why they can’t change their current situation they would be a lot happier.

The key is that people are the way they are for one reason & one reason only, BECAUSE THEY HAVE YET TO MAKE THE DECISION TO BE OTHERWISE! Lets face it the only to be healthy & fit is to decide to be that way, once we make that decision the rest is easy as long as you really wanht it. Remember it doesn't matter how far south you've traveled, once you start going north, your going north!

I took my little cousins swimming yesterday and I was shocked and disgusted at what I saw. This woman took her kids swimming and she bought McDonald's for them. These are like 10 year old kids too and they were pretty chubby too. She had like a couple burgers and supersized fries for each of them. On Dr. Phil they had some people on and this woman had a 4 year old son who weighed 155 pounds. Parents need to watch what their kids eat and have them eat healthy. I'm glad my mom did when I was young. Its shocking looking at the food some parents allow their kids to eat, then they say they try everything and can't lose weight.
