I am 288lbs and have problems with these exercises. Just getting into weight/toning training. Does anyone have any alternates for theses exercises or suggests for alternates.

For a dip replacement try doing pushups with your feet elevated on a bench or anything really just as long as it gets your feet off the ground at least 15-20 inches. For vertical bench crunch try lying on a straight bench with your legs hanging off and grip the top or sides of the bench with your hands to keep your balance - try to make the hanging half start around the crease of your gluteus maximus - and pull your legs up and into your stomach. It's really the same move just on a horizontal surface. Once you get that down try keeping your legs straight and don't bend at the knee when you bring them up.
