First, let me say that I now know what a lot of people mean when they say that legs day makes you want to puke. And I'm actually quite happy I had that experience. It was invigorating!

Well, this is the day after my first really true leg day. Somewhere around 3am I woke up to use the bathroom and get a drink of water. Our bed is against a wall on my side, so I have to climb off the foot of it. My doggie lays at the foot of the bed on the floor, so I generally crawl down there, step one foot out while the other is still curled under me, then swing that 2nd foot around and onto the floor.

I got the first foot onto the floor, when I put pressure on it to bring the other foot around, my thighs screamed at my brain like a banshee, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY WOMAN!!?" My first leg quivered, and I could not stand up. Not only that, but here I was stuck all twisted up on the foot of the bed. I start yanking my second leg with my arms to help it along, and end up yanking the blankets completely to my side of the bed. I stop like some jewel theif risking getting caught to make sure Noirutla did not wake up. I'm sitting there all silent listening and watching him. I'd just die of embarrassment if he woke up and saw me sitting there twisted like a pretzel and I had to explain it was all because I had to pee!! Shew, he's still snoring. I finally get both feet on the floor and by now I have to pee so bad I can just scream. I'm talkin' the go in your pants any second type feeling that makes you literally run to the bathroom. Well, my first instinct when I have to go that bad is to jump right up and rush in there. So, my brain tells my legs to jump up, and my legs shriek back, "NO WAY SISTER! SHUT YOUR HOLE, WE AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE!"

I slid off the end of the bed to the floor with the dog. She looks up at me as if to tell me to get out of her bed.

I crawl out of the bed room and use the couch to help myself stand up. You know. Like an infant does when they are first learning to walk.

FINALLY! I'm standing! Wooo! I then have to SLOWLY shuffle my feet to the bathroom while my bladder is wailing "FASTER FASTER! SHE'S GONNA BLOW CAP'AN!"

I finally made it there and back to bed. LOL! I'm still cracking up. It was like something from an I Love Lucy episode.

Now that I finished my sleep, I'm really sore, but I can at least stand and walk. LOL Thank goodness!

I wonder what kind of crazy stuff today's chest and back will cause to happen.

Gwin, I just had the exact same experience after using some weird calf machine at the gym last week. I knew my calves were really working hard but I haven't had really sore calves in over a year so I though I was home free. Well of course the next day my family and I had planned a trip to Gatlinburg which is a little touristy community in the Smokes where you have to walk everywhere, and the first night, the day after leg day, I was okay but after walking an hour or two, carrying my daughter up a few hills, and then going back to the hotel at night my calves started spasming and I thought, oh no... what's in store for tomorrow... since of course I'm always more sore on day two... so lo and behold in the morning I woke up to go get my free bkfast... and had to pull myself around the hotel room BY MY ARMS looking for my shoes, hoping when I got a little support under my heel I might, just might be able to bend my ankles... finally gave up and went back to bed, lay there for a while contemplating renting a wheelchair. Finally forced myself out of bed and limped and dragged myself to the lobby to eat bkfast, made it through the day only by lurching along at a snail's pace, which was only possible because of the gobs of capsicum I periodically rubbed into my calves! It was a humbling experience, let me tell you! Luckily my family has a good sense of humor!

LOL And of course I had to go back today and use the (*&* thing again - wish me luck - at least I don't have any vacations planned for the AM!

Hope your feeling better tomorrow; like I said, my sore muscles are always worse on the second day! So you may be in for a real treat as well! ROFL

hehe, on my first hardcore leg workout, i couldn't walk properly for a week, and nor could my friends who i tortured through it as well :p
Now i ache for about 4 days after, and can't walk too well the day after.
I do squats until falilure (and i mean you can't do one more, but you need someone to tell you to keep doing it, like "do 5 more!"), then straight to leg press, no rest and do that until failure, then drop the weight by 7 or 14 kg and carry on until failure. It only takes about 10 mins to do but you can't stand up afterwards and it kills. I dread my leg day but i love it as well.
