Yeah I could really use more equipment. I have a bench but its at my parents house because I probably can't fit it in the apartment. I would go there but I'm not going to drive 45 minutes every day to get there. Should I be doing 3 sets instead of 2? Is my program even worth it lol? Anyone have any other modifications or revamps, or anything?

I've read studies where 3 is optimum. What you're planning on doing isn't going to be the best in the world but it may be a good way to get you into it. Personally, I'd add a number of complex moves to every one of your workouts even if you have to take it down to a 3 day split. You have dumbells so if nothing else you can add more chest work. I'd still take a look at the FT programs. They aren't intensive for beginners but they're a little more organized than you are. :)

Well you are correct. I have a hard time sticking with something. Do you have any suggestions?

If you look around enough gyms you see a lot of people going through the motions and although they go year after year, and never get past the point where they were two months into training. Take a look at the programs FT offers and give it all you have for a couple of months. Sure you'll be a little sore but you'll be surprised if you give it an honest all out effort rather than "keep it kind of light". :) Your biggest problem is going to be lack of workout equipment since it doesn't take long to outgrow a limited supply.

This is the first attemp at making my own plan so I was wondering what you guys would think. I'm trying to keep it kinda light so I have the motivation to actually do it. I'm going for toning and fat loss more that anything. I have a little work out closet here at my apartment complex with a few dumbells and a bike/treadmill, so I don't have much to work with.
- Day 1 -
-BACK
Standing Dumbell Shrug
Standing Dumbell Row
-BICEPS
Standing Dumbell Curl
Close Grip Barbell Curl
-ABS
Crunches/Side Crunches
Leg Raises
- Day 2 -
-CHEST
Push Ups
Close/Wide Grip Push Up
-TRICEPS
Standing Dumbell Extension
Dips
-ABS
Crunches/Side Crunches
Leg Raises
- Day 3 -
-LEGS
Dumbell Lunges
Dumbell Squats
-CALVES
Standing Calf Raises
-ABS
Crunches/Side Crunches
Leg Raises
- Day 4 -
-SHOULDERS
Standing Dumbell Press
Side Lateral Raises
-FOREARMS
Palms-Up Barbell Wrist Curl
Palms-Down Barbell Wrist Curl
-ABS
Crunches/Side Crunches
Leg Raises
All of this is started with a light 5 minute warm-up on a bike and finish with 20 minutes of cardio.
Also I was going to do 2 sets of 15 for everything.
Anyone have any input on any changes I should make? Thank you.

One of the biggers problems I've seen with people that make that "keep it kinda light so I have the motivation to actually do it" comments is that it doesn't take long for them to get bored and since they aren't seeing much (or any) results, they quit. What you're doing is obviously better than nothing and more than many people do but I'd recommend taxing yourself more and you'll find the results you see do more to keep you at it.
