Is it a bad idea to mix your creatine into your protein shake??

No, its not bad. In fact, some companies like EAS and LaBrada actually suggest that you add your creatine to their meal replacement shakes. I still take mine with juice because your body is in a serious state of carb depletion after an intense workout. Simple sugars, like those found in juice, immediately start to replenish glycogen stores, as well as increase your insulin levels so the creatine can better absorbed into your body more efficiently.

Thanks jben. I think I'll try it. I drink plenty of juice for breakfast and that should help.

As long as you ingest simple sugars (high glycemic carbs) immediately after you workout (which should be when you take your creatine), then you should be fine. That should spike your insulin a bit and your body with welcome that creatine with open arms.

Thanks jben. I've been taking the creatine before working out. I've heard to take it 45 min. before working out but I'm in the gym between 5:30-6:00 am!! Right after makes sense. Thanks again.
