My joints creak and crack a lot when I move about. It doesn't hurt at all but i'm sure it can't be a good sign. How do i prevent it? Will taking some kind of oil supplement like cod liver help?

For me it's called old age...the creaky joints go well with my graying hair...and I'm only 31. Let me know if you find a solution.

That is known as crepitus and can have many causes.

I agree with sstump1, welcome to the world of aging. My kids get grossed out by my crunching knees and crackling spine.:(. I'm sure working out and keeping flexible helps keep things more limber!

The same cracking sound used to come from my knees when ever I would do squats or bend my knees. I have arthritis in my knees also and take Glucosomine which really helps the arthritis and also no more cracking.
So try the glucosamine.
