I've been workingout/running for 2 months now lost 20 pounds but for some reason at the gym I just feel like I'm doing it all wrong.

On my first day I seriously started working out I had a pleasant satisfying ache the next morning. I thought I had found something that was working. The ache is dieing it won't come back! does that mean I'm not gaining anything? I feel like my form is off and the people at the gym are too busy to help me and the trainer is to busy to answer a question or two. Why have I lost 20 pounds but not a waist size? I'm so confused I can't even organize my thoughts into logical paragraphs!

Okay here is my routine.

Day: Upper body including chest, shoulders, deltoids, tricpes, biceps, abs.
Next day is a 2.5-3.0 mile run
Next day is lower body, quads, calves, hamstrings, abs.
Next day: Run
Next day Upper body... etc etc etc

man I'm so frustrated for some reason I can't think straight.

hey there bighoss and welcome to FT.com:big_smile:
First thing is that muscle sorness does not indicate a good or bad workout, It's known as DOMS(Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) and this will fade as time goes on. Just because your not sore doesn't mean your not growing either. FIll out you profile so we can better help you. what's your diet like? When do you workout in the morning or afternoon? If your working out in the morning make sure you eat before some good carbs from some oatmeal and a lean protein source. You need to break your workout down more, your working too much in one session. I would suggest picking out a workout program here in Free Trainers they really do work! And they break everything down for you on the amount of days that your available to train. Good Luck and just take it easy your going to need patience when it comes to fitness and reaching your goal.:)
