chin ups?

I need to know if there is anything that I could substitute for wide grip chins or any kind of chin ups? I hate leaving a part of my work out, out because then I feel like I am not getting the total workout that was intended. I do not have a machine to do these types of exercises and even if I did my arms are rather week right now so I do not think I could do them anyway. Any alternative exercies would be greatly appreciated. The only other one that I have used to work my back is the one arm dumbell rows. Those seem to really help but I can not use them when they combine them with the chin ups. I greatly appreciate any advice given.

DIPS ARE A GOOD EXERCISE FOR THE ARMS, SHOULDERS AND BACK. TRY A FEW TO BEGIN WITH AND DON'T HURT YOURSELF!!

lat pulldowns or military presses are excellent for deltoids and will strengthen your arms at the same time. Or do some cable rows. These are all good subs. Ciao...

i purchased what they call a power station at sports authority {a chain sporting goods store} for about a hundred dollars and consider it money well spent its a combination chin up bar, dip station,push up bar and leg raise station for lower abs may be an answer for you

I don't know about anybody else, but I don't do good on dips or chin ups...maybe because of weak triceps? I don't know. I just find them rather difficult.
