Cardio workouts questions

Hi to everyone. I am new to the program just started my workouts three days ago. I saw in another posting that mentions cardio after the weights. My questions is what can I do on each machine to supplement the weight workout? I want to lose weight. The treadmills and elipticals have different programs to choose from, does it matter? Also, on rest days from the weights is it ok to go in and do cardio? I'm sure all this has been answered before but I don't have the time to go thru all postings; but i did read some. They are very informative. Thanks for the help.

The idea of cardio is to increase your HR. Any of the programs willdo that or you can set your own manually.
If you feel up to doing cardio on your off days, do it, see how you feel. The off days are to give your body rest and recovery.
