Well everyone I am starting my cardio this week as part of preparing to compete in May. I stopped doing it while I was gaining that muscle. Time to concentrate and focus. I want to go slow and lose that little bit of excess fat I picked up over the holidays.

Well even when bulking it's a good idea to do a minimum of cardio (like 3 times 20 mins). It helps you not to gain too much fat and of course it's good for your heart as well.

Start out slowly and save the HIIT for later (closer to your competition)

I'm always confused on what to do for cardio too! I'm not competing but one day I would like to, but have a ways to go for that! I'm working towards being a personal trainer & love working out but trying to lose body fat & tone...I'm on a 4 days a week/2 body part split for weight training & do cardio 5-6 days a week...going religiously for 2 months now & feeling so good...still working on my nutrition aspect & learning what my body needs & how much it needs (the hardest part for me!!) I'm 25...5'3...& 123 lbs. I just found this site this week & think it's so awesome but need some input & some extra inspiration! I'll start working on my profile & upload a pic soon too! You girls really inspire me & help me realize that anything is possible if you put your mind to it!! :o)
