I don't know WHAT is up. I've actually just gotten back into really good 'gym' shape, and I have even come to the realization that I too need cardio for that plateau breaking fat loss. But for the last three weeks, every single time I have done cardio I have gotten extremely bad gas cramps, upset stomach, and just overall crappy guts. I do the weights first, and seperate it by several hours, or even do cardio on light or off days, but to no avail. I'm on a team for a 6 man 24 mile marathon, and this is putting a 'cramp' in my style. As if I needed any other reason to not like cardio....Any thoughts?

maybe it's what you eat prior to cardio, or in general..i would separate your cardio on different days of weight lifting if possible..

Hi hollers2...long time no see:) I'd agree with the above post. Have a look at your diet and play around with it a bit to see if you can't ease your discomfort. Is your stomach fine when your not running?
-------------- Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

Yes, it's totally fine on lifting days. Maybe I am allergic to cardio...

Try hydrating more, and you might be short on potassium. But I'm not a Doc so find out about the potassium.
Nice to see you back and good luck with the marathon.

Still trying to find out how to do the Hollywood Free Press.
