cardio a rest for weights

if cardio is conciderd a rest for the previouse day of lifting and lifting is a rest for the previose day of cardio then is there really a need to have a day where u do neither and just sit around? to be honest i never reallt had a day where i just sat around doin nothing i always have to do some somthing

yeah your right, you should always take 24-48 hours out of training a week as a rest day, this alows your muscles to recover and be stronger for the next workout.
