I have a problem, when I reach "Back-day" it seems like no matter how hard I work out my back it never fells sore the next day. I stretch and concentrate really hard on my form when forming various excersies. The question is, is their a stretch or a certain excersise that I can perform to get a better workout on the back (especially the middle of the back)???? HELP PLZ!

Just because you are not sore after your workout, does not mean you didn't have a good workout. I am not sore after most of my workouts (except leg day of course:big_smile:) but I leave the gym knowing that I had a productive workout each time, and that is what counts.

Being sore is not really the reason why I doubt myself in having a good back work-out day. Its just that I work out all body parts equally. It just seems that when I look in the mirror after a work out it seems that my back lacks the size that I think it should have after an intense work-out and time that I put into it. I know everyone wants to be in proportion and it just seems that my back isnt progressing with the rest of my body.....Also on another note, how do I get those "cuts" on my lower back (The "V" of the lower back which proceed into the buttock region... The Surfer back)???? A quick solotion plz.... I go on vacation in 8 weeks!!! :surprised:

good way to tell if you had a good back day or work out.......after you do all your excercises, go back to bent over rows, and try your 10 rep or so, if you worked out right you shouldn't be able to get that many......if so your either not using proper form and need to lighten the weight or go heaver, th eback is weird cause it is so thick and massive and so many muscles, its hard to get a good back workout, but like they said just cause your not sore don't mean you didn't have a good one. Also really realy concentrate on the back, mind muscle connection.-------------- .......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records! ......minds are not vessles to be filled, but fires to be enlightened ......Confucious once said ,DO NOT play leap frog with a unicorn |

The "v tapper" of the back comes from the lats an dyou can do lat pulls downs( behind neck or front) and barbell rows and pull overs.........the lower back it get it more cut, deadlifts, good mornings,hypers,........i'm not positive what your talking about, i'm not very cut myself lol-------------- .......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records! ......minds are not vessles to be filled, but fires to be enlightened ......Confucious once said ,DO NOT play leap frog with a unicorn |

take a barbell, put it a lil lower on your back( about 5 or 6in below the neck line, where some good meat is lol) keep a slight bend in your legs and bend over, try to get you back parallel to the floor, if you can go lower go lower this works your hams and lower back nicly, great way to finish off a leg day.-------------- .......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records! ......minds are not vessles to be filled, but fires to be enlightened ......Confucious once said ,DO NOT play leap frog with a unicorn |
