Um, Mikey? Why don't you just go outside and have a nice 20 minute walk in the sunshine and fresh air? That sounds like great cardio to me. Of course, I'm just a dumb country girl who never even heard of using a machine for cardio...
As far as eating 6 times a day, try spreading your calories over 5 meals instead. I wouldn't go lower than that though.

Mike ,
You have the exact specs as me... 'cept I am 40. I Three weeks ago I started the FT program and shut out fast food, too! I do a three day a week weight training and try and do cardio 3 - 5 days a week by riding my bike around town.
Do you work out after work? That is usually the worst time to hit the gym (5-6PM)... seems like everyone is there!
Try going before work. Less crowds and you benefit more from your work out ALL day long. Lots of empty equipment to be used since most folks are still ine bed snoozing!:)
Prepare your meals and snacks the day before and pack it all in a carry-along cooler. Have it handy so you can grab a quick eat when needed.
Have a watch? Get used to setting its alarm every three or four hours to remind you to stop and eat.
Bike is great cardio... so is running, swimming, dancing and chasing girls... just make sure the girls are faster than you!
Keep us posted of your progress,

yep, darren has a point. My schedule allows me to go open the gym after work and there's absolutely no one there except me [they usually come in around 8-9am. Then I head home, sleep, wake up about 1 1/2 hour earlier, get my 45 min cardio in ,30 mins preparing my food for the entire day and the other 15 to make myself look like a decent human being and go to work. It used to be so difficult but you get used to it.
as for cycling..I go mountainbiking every week on a saturday, since there's a trail that's close to me, and use the machine twice while I'm in the gym. The other two times I use the treadmill.
you need to try mountainbiking, it's crazy and it burns oodles of calories. I'm pretty new and I still have to improve on technique. Just thinking of going down a steep rocky hill makes my heart rate go nuts!
Goodluck! :)

Mikey,
It takes discipline to get up early in the morning. I usually get to the gym between 0440 and 0530. Your hours are the same as mine. You just need some encouragement. Get started, you can do it! Get up early, drink a quick protein shake with quick oats, go to the gym. Bring your fixins you made from the day before (chicken, tuna, fish, brown rice..etc) to work with you. Eat every 3 hours, come home, eat a couple more times. I have confidence in you. You only have to do it 3 or 4 times a week! Good luck!
