I drink a protein shake to curb the cravings. Beneficial at the same time.

I started by eating apples to fill the cravings. I love apples.

I keep a baggie of protein powder with me and a couple different meal replacement bars that I like. . pour some powder into a water bottle, shake it up and drink it down!

Alot of times I don't eat the whole protein bar, I'll break it into little pieces and eat each one slowly while I'm working or driving..

i always eat sunflower seeds when I'm driving- that is really the only time I'm very tempted to binge- probably because there is nothing to do and I'm usually driving the vast land of emptiness called North Dakota! but the sunflower seeds keep you busy- gotta work to get to the treasure!

I just think about my goals and how I don't want to waist my last nights workout. I haven't figured out what to do when I can't get to the gym though. I haven't had time to get to the gym in the last few months so that has reflected on my diet.

Dani, i think sometimes people don't understand what it's like to be a binger. It would be hard for me to keep anything around "in case of emergency" cause I tend to snack away. However, when I started my new job I decided that there would be no eating at the computer. I take my lunches outside the office, which is more expensive (just a little) plus it gives me a break from work. I keep a pria bar at my desk (just one that I bring each day) I only eat that. I don't keep food in the fridge which keeps me from snacking. If I eat my pria bar too early then I am just out of luck until lunch. I tend to eat a filling breakfast though so that's not normally a problem. I do get free soda and tea at work if I want it, but because people know I am dieting here I feel bad if they see me with a soda or tea so that helps curb my snacking too. I would say if you need to keep any food around make it like unflavored rice cakes. That way it's not something you would snack on, but even if you did it's not too damaging. Plus if you really are hungry it is food. Not sure how plain, unsalted rice cakes taste, but I have a hard time imagining that one could overdo it on them.

Try some a syrofoam coffee cup it's about the same, but the rice cake has a little less flavor.

I don't think I could eat rice cakes without gagging. Yesterday I did good with eating. I did binge but on fruit and vegtables. I feel good today.

I ate so many green beans I felt like I was floating. YUCK! But it was better than cookies.

I just needed to do something about my eating for 1 day so I would get off of the pity pot. I figured, one damn day I can do anything!

well I have just about the same problem , I don't have a weight problem , people even tell me that I should put on weight and that created some kind of psychological problem and I really do eat a lot . Last month when I was on holiday I ate almost every 2 hours. The truth is I havent gained more then a pound . But I want to stop the cravings I have from time to time .

I try not to keep junk food in the house. This way it is not easily assessable.
