I work out five times a week, I have seen pretty good gains over a three month period. I fine that my shoulders are pretty weak. Is the military press the best for building overall shoulder size and strength.

If your trying to build up strength you probably want to use more weight and less reps. I would probably use some dumbbell presses too but remember with a military press your only getting around at one area of your shoulders. You should try to work your traps and the rear area of it too. I'm not too good with shoulders though as their the weakest part of me and seem to always get injured (sharp pains that last for days.. not soreness) whenever I push them too much... abcbodybuilding has a guide to shoulder training which might help you more on the subject http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/magazine/animalshoulderfaq.htm .. they also have a shoulder workout but its pretty intense and if your shoulders are not that well off to begin with I wouldn't really recommend jumping right into that shoulder blitz..

Oh I should of mentioned that FT also has a special wide shoulders program that you can check on your exercise profile and it should be worked into your program (i think? I haven't tried it)..

There are many exercises that will help you build your shoulders. Dips, push presses and front raises did the trick for me. You can check out the rest of ft's shoulder exercises by going to the main menu, then choose ft Exercise Resources, then Muscle Targeting, then Shoulders.

Good luck!
