I have always noticed that my left bicep is larger than my right. I would like both biceps to look the same. Should I do more work on my smaller one to bring it up to the same size of my left bicep?
Thanks for any information/suggestions

I would NOT recommend doing more work for one specific muscle. Imbalances like the problem you are having are actually very common. Your body will adapt and eventually, when you add more muscle, your arms will begin to even out. I had the same problem when I first started training, but you need to realize that more is not always better, continue to train with heavy weight and eat a clean, healthy diet. In due time, your other arm will catch up. Good luck.

Hi optimum:
It happened to me too (in my case the left arm was bigger than the right one). Dahayz is right. This will get fixed in time. So dont worry about it.

Thanks for the confirmation Pdacruz!! I hope all is going well with your training program and your biceps did even out. Just looks kinda weird when they are not the same. I am hoping for evenness...not worrying :-}
Blessings to you,

As Pdacruz has already mentioned, having one muscle larger than the other is pretty common. I know that my right arm is definately bigger than the left... Probably because I am right handed and have a tendency to favour the right side when I am doing every day tasks. I don't really think there is a way around it, but do not, under any circumstances, try to develop one arm more than the other. It will end affecting every aspect of your workout. The one side will be able to do lift heavier weight, and the other side will seem weak...

Thanks Mikedesa1 for your input. Makes perfect sense. I am actually right handed but my left bicep is bigger..but I have always had a tendency to do every day strength requiring tasks with my left arm....hhmmmmm.
Also want to add that someone else shared with me privately about using a bar with weights as opposed to free weights to help even out biceps saying that the other bicep will catch up.
