The Yankees got A-rod, the Red sox got Schilling, and the Angel's got Vladimir Guerrero. In the still of the night the Cubs signed Maddux and immediately moved from contender to favorites. I think they can win it all with that staff. Any debaters?

Even at his current age, I think Maddux still has alot of "it." I went to school with him, and he has held on to that certain mind-set from then all the way 'til now. It will be interesting to see.

Remember, you're talking about Tom Hicks. The Rangers will end up with the bottom players from the Tiger's rotation.

I think football may have taken the lead on that.

I mean in the sense that Canadians (at least most I know) have no interest in baseball and most Americans I talk to could care less about hockey. Maybe I'm wrong here.

Canadians like football too. Go CFL! We got bigger balls!

I myself could care less about hockey, but if you go into certain towns hockey is very big. New England, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philly, and even New York are all big hockey towns.

We're huge on hockey at my college...of course we're number one in the nation....but i LOVE hockey, played when i was a bit younger even though im from texas. Uhm, yeah i think football has taken place of baseball as most popular american sport. But to my father and i, nothin beats a nite sitting on the first base line talking and jokin around. God i love my dad...

Personally, I would rather watch hockey or football over baseball any day. Baseball is so incredibly boring and slow! :( But hockey and football... Bring on the hits and the pain!!!
