I'm 18 years old and have had a bad right wrist for quite some time now. Its never really been a problem until i started lifting about 2 month ago. I don't remember what i did to injure it, but its starting to cause problems. At 6 foot 2, 150lbs and just starting out i'm not really lifting a whole lot of weight. I've started to wear a wrist brace and i really don't want to stop lifting. What advice do you guys have? Thanks, Jason.

Do you know what's wrong with your wrist? Have you been to a doctor? Need more info.

What exactly is the problem you're having? Try some forearm exercises. Also - use lifting straps if they help.

The problem is if i try to life much weight without a brace it hurts like hell and it pops a lot. I haven't been to a doctor about it but next time i go i'll be sure to ask. DO you guys think asking the people in my university's health center would be a good idea? I'm going to start with some exercise but i'm not sure if they'll help. Thanks.

For sure you should ask at your University. Perhaps the weights you are lifting are actually too heavy for your wrist. If they are bending back when you lift , lower the weight, you will see improvement as your wrists are supposed to be straight. If it doesn't improve see a dr. Good Luck

I have a problem with my wrist as well. See a Dr. if it persists and slows down your gains and goals. Or work through it and your wrist may strengthen up. Try to avoid relying on a wrist brace too much or yuor wrist will never get stronger. Your muscles may grow but your wrist will remain weak. And yes, Always ask questions to those who are in the position to give a response. That would be anyone and everyone

I have a bad wrist (surgery and now have a pin in my right wrist) which still hurts when i lift too much. I just started my workout plan and saw this exercise. Is there a machine that works the same muscle that would put less stress on my wrist.
