Pls help me,

I've been doing concentration curls for 3 days, 1 week ago and after that my back has been aching. It's the middle region. It hearts only when I tense it or stretch my arms wide apart. It's been hurting for a long time now, what shld I do. Maybe I shld lay off the concentration curls for a while? By the way the weights wer not heavy for me either. Can I do bench presses while I have a back ache....coz I bought sum new equipment and cant wait.

Thanks

Don't do anything that increases your pain. It's really that simple.

It may sound funny 2 u but I never train out my back...or do any kind of squats. I jus work out on arms, chest and abs.

To deadonarrival: I cant help not using my back...coz we have to use it in everyday life wether I like it or not.

Thanks u lot...hope u can help.

best thing to do is start trainin your back too if u havent been b/c that is your problem, u cant just train your arms, chest & abs, u got to train your full body so..better off settin up a program on this site

well when u don't train bodyparts...this is what happens....my back is my #1 priority...because it's the base of everything else....

go see a doctor first...make sure it's nothing serious...apply heat to your back ....take ibuprofen...

then....start training your back....and your legs....

SQUARS
DEADLIFTS
ROWS
PULL UPS
STIFF-LEGGED DEADLIFTS

Okay so this has happened to me like three months ago and now for some reason my back started hurting again a little last night and now I woke up earlier is a significant amount of pain. Its my middle back to lower back area, it hurts if I try to bend down, or if I try to move and don't move slowly and sometimes even sit like I have to situate myself in a way so I doesn't hurt. Like I said this has happened before so I am hoping it goes away in a few days but I'm not sure what to do.

sorry for bringing my post back up again but it wld be the same thing if I re-posted a new one.

So it has been 1 month and back pain has decreased but still sore. I have tried to workout the back now but when I go to do wide grip lat pulldowns that area hurts...(not sore) but jus hurts. That is the area where it is hearting. So shld i lay off the back exercises for a while?

I would go see the doctor if it is hurting that bad bro... just to make sure. Listen to your body, you've only got one!

Its not hearting that badly, the thing is the duration of the pain. I dnt know when it'll stop and when to start training back.

my friend has same problem...consistant never ending back pain....I crack his back occassionally.....somewhat similarly as what you described.....however it always seems to come back....you're not treating the cause ...just releasing the trapped air...i had back problems a while back....now training my back has eliminated it.....

shrugs are good but they concentrate on your traps....the back of your neck....very upper back....you need to do

ROWS
PULL UPS
DEADLIFTS/STIFF LEGGED DEADLIFTS/ROMANIAN DEADLIFTS

and...for legs you gotta do

SQUATS...below parallel with good form...
CALF RAISES for bottom part of your leg...the part most people struggle with...

bottom line is you meed to train your whole body...or you'll get more of the same....and if something hurts....change it to something else....there are 100+ biceps exercises and variations...why are u so set on doing the concetration curl? and you shouldn't do biceps more than twice a week and have 2+ days in between workouts....
