Hello,
I wanted to know what are the best exercises to get rid of upper back fat. You know like under your armpit. I know the most important thing is a clean diet. So any suggestions as far as weight training, should I go heavy or light. I already have a really wide back to be a female and I really dont want it any wider. I would just like to get rid of the extra fat. Thanks for your help.

OK well I will be the first of many here to tell you that you can not spot reduce, so don't worry you won't have to do any mad back routines to get rid of it. A good diet and some cardio is the answer. for burning fat I would go for HIIT (theres a thread at the top if you don't know what that is) but don't be oposed to adding a bit of muscle even as a female, the benefits apart from asthetics are endless as well as helping to control your metabalism.

I too have a wide V-shaped back and broad str8 shoulders for a girl and I have found in the last couple of months of training that my back has not gotten any wider. (I once had the same worry as you!)
Instead, what has happened is that I have built some muscle tissue which somewhat resembles curves I think. Very feminine looking at any rate. Plus my shirts fit better.
So far I'm just following the freetrainers exercise program and naturaly am trying to keep a clean diet.

Good looking out, an G'luck
