Has anybody ever heard of taking some aspirin before lifting weights to help minimize the muscle aches and pains you get after a hard workout?

aspirin thins the blood, so i cant see what positive effects it would have in particular, even though im pretty sure ive heard of the method before, sorry i cant help more.

I read recently that taking analgesia AFTER lifting may lead to slower gains - presumably there is less stimulus to repair muscle.
I don't know if taking aspirin before working out would have the same effect or not, and I don't know how reliable the study was, but without more info, I'm just going to grit my teeth and bear it :)
