i have been trying to cut now for about 4 weeks and have barely lost 2 lbs. i have reduced my diet to 2000-2300 cal a day but i am not losing weight as fast as i thought i would. is 2 lbs in 4 weeks a good pace, or should i maybe reduce calories even more?
also while cutting what would be a good protien/carb/fat ratio?

It's a good pace, no worries.
While cutting it's good to slightly bump up protein and healthy fat intake while cutting calories from carbs...
you need to tweak your diet to see what ratio works for you....45/20/35 might be good....

Your dong fine mrd. At this point your body is just getting used to the idea of a "set routine", from here you should start seeing a 1-2 drop each week. Like menace said, start taking in more calories from protein and healthy fats and less from carbs. Hang in there.
-------------- Seize the day!

I read you profile mrdeadly, you say you want add muscle. have you achieved this yet. as im sure you know that as you have cut your calorific intake you will find it harder to gain muscle. if not i would concentrate on your muscle gaining goals first and then go for the dieting.
