I have very weak ankles, I have gained some weight and my ankles haven't caught up. What exercises can I do to strengthen my ankles?

Ride a bike, do squats and deadlifts as well as calf raises.

to train the muscles in your ankles you should do balancing. the 'wiggly' movements of your feet train the muscles there and they become more flexible. you get stronger ankles. be careful to not over-do it or injure yourself.
