Am I working my triceps too hard?

I've been lifting to failure during my workouts but am having problems with my triceps. Normally when I lift to failure with the other muscle groups I get an aching kind of pain in the muscle I'm working. But when I work my triceps I get a very sharp kind of pain. I stop at this point even though I know I could do a few more reps. Tell me, is this sharp pain the muscle fibres tearing or does it seem more serious than that?

If it tears, you'll know it . Muscles usually tear when the load is to great on the down part of motion( concentric I think) More than likely its just alot of lactic acid built up, i'd say back off for a while and give them a rest that they need. If it stil hurts after a week or more i'd go see a doc.
Why do you trin to faliure all the time? GEt your work out and go home, when the muscle fibers are tired they are tired. Theres an old saying.......
