My College gym does not have a cable frame machine so I am trying to find alternatives. I have been able to aproximate "One Arm Side Cable LAterals" with a dumbell, but I am not sure how to aproximate "Seated One Arm Cross Cable Laterals". How could I do that?

If I am not mistaken (and I could be) it sounds like you would be reaching across your body to pull the cable up from the other side. The seated part has me confused though as I do these standing. Can you look up the cable version somewhere and see what the description is and try to do the same with a db. I've not been much help, but maybe someone else will jump in too.

You can get basically target the same area doing bent over db raises. By changing the angle you use, you can target different parts of the delts. Lying on your side with the target muscle slightly leaning toward the db will hit roughly the same area. I prefer cables because of the constant time under tension and you're less likely to let gravity help you out. Experiment a little and you'll be surprised what few limitations there are on db's.
