... now this confuses me...
... anybody out there who would be kind to lend some ideas about the cadence of weight lifting? here goes.
.. one doctor said that the maximum time a muscle must be exercised for one set is 48 seconds.
.. one said that a good cadence is 2 seconds positive (muscle contraction) and 2 seconds negative(muscle retraction..huh?). another said 2 seconds positive, 3 seconds static (pausing the weight), and four seconds negative. now some freak said four seconds on all positive, static, and negative!
... guys, what's the best there is? i've posted queries regarding my one-hour training at evenings, and some guys said even a good workout may last about less than an hour. chee, clear me on this people!!

Blue,

When I workout I focus on the reps at a medium pace that's comfy and don't concern myself with cadence. My workouts generally last 30-45 minutes. Experiment at different paces until you find what's comfortable for you. Lift hard!!
