i'm 5'7 and 165 lbs. 18 years of age, and i really don't know how to approach my situation... on top of wanting to bulk up and gain strength, my other goals are to gain flexibility and core conditioning through pilates/yoga, and i want to build up some cariovascular endurance/stamina...the thing is that as of now, i'm going to the gym with my friend for weight-lifting about 3-4 times a week, but i'm new to "physical activity", and don't really know what i SHOULD be doing.... since i find my goals conflict with each other, i need some advice on what, when, and how often to eat, and also when and how frequently i should work out (in gym and otherwise)... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

First, welcome to FT. If you haven't already, you should sign up for an FT mass program to get you started. Just print the daily workouts and take them to the gym with you.
Second, as far as diet, you need to eat frequently (about every 3 hours). This means eating 5-7 meals per day. If your goal is to increase mass, then frequent cardio (stamina/endurance training) won't help. If you have to do cardio, limit to maybe 2-3x per week. You can, however, do conditioning/flexibility training simultaneously.
Hope this helps and good luck!
