I train 3 times a week as that is all I have to do. I have started doing a body pump(with weights) class one night a week which is about 45mins long. The other couple of times I go training I am doing about 20mins cardio and 30mins of weights. I am worried that I am not doing enough cardio work, would i benefit if I devoted one of my training sessions to just cardio and the other stick to my 20mins cardio and 30mins weights?

Many Thanks

Paula,

It really depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you're trying to just lose weight, then you might consider more cardio and slightly less weights. Weight training will increase your muscle mass, which WILL speed up your metabolism. But it's the cardio, getting your heart rate up, that is going to burn off the weight (along with diet). So if you're time limited, I would wager that the cardio is going to do more for you in the long run.

Just my 2 cents. ^^
