I've been training for 4 months now to bulk up. I always watched what i eat but i'm still not fully aware of what my body needs in order to grow. I'm also loking to cut the line of fat on my gut.i'm reading that i need alot of complex carbs and protein. Should i just stay away from simple carbs? or just take them after my workout? I take alot of white rice too, should i cut this out? i weigh 74Kg. how much proteins and carbs do i need?

If you have good carb tolerance and you time meals...then a bit of simple carbs directly post workout is good...however if you're an average joe...who doesn't watch his calories closely....then I would cut out all simple carbs....(with some occassional fruits in the morning)....and just focus eating complex carbs.....although one of the easiest ways to gain mass is to eat simple carbs like pasta, white rice, etc....(you can eat more of these because they have no or little fiber so you don't fill up quickly....).....
10x for the quick reply menance. So i'll try to cut simple carbs instead of maybe some in the morning and post workout or maybe the occasional paste meal. Whats a good substitute for rice then? how can i calculate how many protein and carbs(complex) i need each day? 10x
