HI I am 22 years old and i have a 1 year old son. I have been doing 20-30 minutes of cardio and light weights for about three weeks and also trying to eat healthy and i dont see any results how long does it take to start slimming down i am also 150lbs and 5'5.I know it doesnt happen over night but it would be so encouraging to see somethng happen.thanks for your time.

Melissa, how long did it take you to get where you are. Probably longer than 3 weeks. Believe it or not you have already made a good start. Its probable that you have put on a little muscle and lost a little fat. It just takes time. Everybody is different and results may vary. Sounds like a car ad huh? dido to what charlie stated . Be patient and keep working out and eating healthy. THe results will show. Don't use the scales as this is only going to discourage you. Use measurment to determine the benefits of your working out. Muscle weights more as charlie stated.

In addition to measurements, use the mirror and the way that your clothes fit you as guides that will show your progress.

Also, remember, physical fitness is a CUMULATIVE EFFECT. Be patient, and the results will show you that your hard work has been worth every drop of sweat. :)
