Should i begin to add weight resistance in my ab routine, and if so how do you know your not trading form for reps.
Very Respectfully,
Tim

You shouldn't trade form for reps.. I usually guess that i'm trading form for reps if i'm trying to push out each rep faster and faster (most of the cases i'm just using too much weight)... you try doing the reps kind of slow.. with a pause at the top of the movement.. I think I saw an article once where the guy took 2 seconds to lift then 2 seconds to lower (they were vertical bench crunches).. as far as abs go.. less weight = better.. or none at all even... add weight if you can push out those 15 reps with good form and you still feel like that isn't really helping your abs at all..

Good advice fireloard! I also believe that weight is not that important while performing ab exercises. Standard ab work just adds thicknees to your ab muscles, if thisd siw hat you want to accomplish. Also while I do any type of ab work I always try to squeeze and hold for a sec right before I lower.
