a really basic question

Since an Olympic barbell weights usually 45#, do most people add that to their lifted weight?. So if I press 2 45# plates shoudl I record 90# ot 135#? This sounds pretty obvious, but I want to make sure.

I record the entire weight. In your example, I would record 135lbs but I do not think it matters as long as you are consistant doing either way
