Ok, so when I am eating 6 meals a day at 2000 calories, should I make all of them even calories or should I make my meals different calories at each meal? or does it matter?

its up to you.. the most important thing is to spread your protein intake out evenly over the day. other than that, you could do 3 regular meals with snacks in between, 6 same-size meals, meals that get smaller after breakfast, etc. whatever suits your needs.

Ok, so I weigh about 285
My profile says to eat about 4500 calories a day to stay the same weight. I eat about 2000 calories a day. I really need to lose weight for health issues. I have athsma and I figure if I lose weight it wont be as bad. What am I doing wrong? I do work out everyday.
Thanks

Sounds like you're not eating enough and your body may be going into a starvation mode. I'm 130 lbs less then you and that's what I eat. 4500 does sound a little high though...I would recommend you track your diet for a few days or a week. Eat 6 times throughout the day and shoot for 3000-3500 calories to start, if you feel full then watch your weight for a week see if it fluctuates up and down. Idea is to find your maintenance calories (the # of calories you need to maintain your weight), then from there drop 200-300 calories for a week, then another 200-300 calories the next week till you start to lose a lb or 2 a week.

The 6 meals a day idea works and works well. It fires up your metabolism and keeps it pumping throughout the day. If you time your meals correctly and with the sufficient amount of food you will find that you don't get hungry and you will still lose weight. I found this was the hardest part to figure out...cause as I started to stoke my metabolism I started to get hungry where as I didn't when I wasn't eating enough. But when I got hungry was when my cravings would come on pretty strong...so if say I got my cravings mid afternoon and still had an hour left before my next snack then I would eat a bit more for lunch or even add something to my mid morning snack...that helped and kept the cravings at bay.

Good luck to you and Welcome to FT!

So its ok to eat like four 300 calorie meals and one 800 calorie meal to make my 2000?
Also, what is the latest time I can eat? I have hear 3 hours before bed and I have heard 6 hours before bed.
