BENCHING?

Ok..

My max in benching is 160 lbs...and i have like 7 weeks till school starts...and i wuz wondering...can i gain 10 pounds a week in benching? like i bench 150 this week...then go 160 next week and then the next week 170? can that be possible?

7 weeks is sort of plenty of time but as far as 10 pounds in 3 weeks.. i'm not sure.. if you've been lifting a while then it could be tuff.. but if you just started you could get it up in no time.. I gained a few pounds on mine with the 8 week ft mass program so you can give that a shot.. or this bench program ->

although I haven't actually tried that program yet.. If all else fails you could roll to a powerlifting program since it seems that you just want to increase your 1 rep max.. I don't know too much about PL programs though.. ask in the PL forum if you decide to go that route.. hope that helps...

go ahead and push yourself to the next limit but make sure to be safe!!! don't lift everyday either make sure to rest atleast 48 hours to the muscule fibers and rebuild back up again
