If you work it hard enough, it'll burn. Try doing some compound movements along with super sets. One routine that I like for chest is do 3-4 sets of decline bench presses, adding weight each time with very little rest between sets. After you finish that, go right into bench flyes (3 sets) with real strict form. Go to failure with the last set then do a couple of drop sets. Finish that up with a couple of sets of dips and if you aren't burning, you aren't working. :)

You could also try reducing the amount of time you rest in between sets. I usually rest anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on if i'm setting the weight up each set or not.. You do need SOME time for your ATP to come back.. here is a good explaination of ATP -> http://www.howstuffworks.com/sports-physiology2.htm .. I don't think they show it but I THINK that at about 30 seconds something around 50% (if that) of it is back and around 2 minutes 90% of it is back.. anything up to 3 min after that is pretty small so 2 minutes is usually the max for me...

good points guys..

if you don't feel a burn then you're not using the correct muscles. The key is to 'squeeze & stretch' with a full range of motion.. that will fatigue the muscle and give you the BURN..
