What kind of diets are you following? That will help us answer you better. Also its about lifestyle change and changing the diet forever not for a short period of time.

The key to dieting is really watching what you eat everyday. Are you or have you been tracking your daily consumption? If you need a way to do this, I can recommend ft's nutrition tracking program. But, tell us anyway which diet(s) you've tried. Like Leslie said, it's a matter of changing lifestyles and not a short-term thing.

Hello evie1. I too have been down the diet path and tried many different ways to lose. When I first started getting serious about my weight I needed to lose over 100 pounds. The nutrition program on ft is very similar to what eventually turned out to work for me. It took almost a year but I lost 115 pounds. 1. Keep a record of every single calorie that you take in. 2. Figure out how many calories that you are going to consume per day and divide by 5. 3. Eat 5 times a day using the number you got in step 2 as a guide for how much to eat at those meals. 4. Keep fats to the minimum. 5. Incorporate a steady exercise program that you find enjoyable. You are more likely to stick to it if you like it. I like the program here at ft along with cardiovascular work 4 times a week.
I hope this helps. Good luck reaching your goals.

The first thing you need to do is realize nutrition is the most important thing in your weight loss quest. You must eat 5 to 6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism high. You body is like a fireplace. Too much food/fire it will be too hott and you will burn. Not enough food/fire and you will freeze. You need to keep it nice and warm. Secondly, figure out how much calories you can consume by just living life. Multiply your bodyweight x11 and you will get that number. Next divide that number by either 50%, 40% or 30% depending on your activity. 30% if you have a sedentary job and are new to working out 40% if you do occassional exercise or 50% if you have lifted weights and have worked out at least 3 to 4 times a week for one Year. Add both number together and that is the total amound of calories you can consume a day without gaining weight.
Next, eat more protein. Try 40% protein 30carb 30 fat(but good fats, unsaturated fats like those in avocados, peanuts, fish oils). Now if you wanna lose 2 pounds a month you have to get your calories during the day and -1000. Example.
I weight 185 pounds and am very active 50 % 185*11=2035 2035/50%= 1017 Thus i need 3052 cals a day in order to maintain weight if i want to lose 2 LBs of FAT a week i must consume 2052 cals a day 40percent protein 30fat 30 carbs.
Go to fitday.com. There you can keep a journal and it tracks your totals. Manipulate your diet until you are hitting these numbers on a daily basis.
Thats your diet. As for workout. A strong workout will raise your metabolism helping you lose weight consistently. Every pound of muscle burns 50 extra calories a day.
Try getting on one of these programs here or i recommend buying the TAP plan on Amazon.com. It incorporates diet and exercise to lose weight with no cardio. If you do Cardio do HIIT. High intensity interval training. Example. 30mins. but 1 minute sprint 30 second walk 1 min sprint 30 second job 30 second run. Mix it up. That way your metabolism will be high even after your done. If you do just regular cardio slow for 1 hour your metabolism will slow down and you will be working in slow motion and usually u get really hungry after this form of cardio.
Stick to working out with weights. Try Circuits.
