Alright, have you heard about this. It's a gel that you rub on a specific body part, and if you rub it on that part for a week or so you should be able to burn some fat from their. Then you change it up and put in on another body part.
So who has tried it, and does it work well ?
As for the others, what do you think of this product ?

I have heard about it, but I havn't tried it though. I don't think you need it that much, just control your diet and do as much cardio as you can on both jogging and on the waist, and you will lose the fat reasonably fast.

I've heard about it too. Seen ads in fitness mags. Sounds fishy if ya ask me. There have been products like it in the past and they were bogus. I also saw on the news where some company is selling panty hose that is supposed to hlep the ladies lose fat. It has a chemical on it called theophelin, not sure about that spelling, but I do know it is used to treat asthma. As for fat burning I'm pretty sure thats a load of crap. You have to be careful because the supplement industry can say about anything they please without much to back it up. I think I'd keep my cash in my pocket on that one for a while.

even they do say that it's based on studies an all...these studies are usually done on rodents and thus aren't much of a motivation

I can't see that product working unless it was some type of transdermal gel.

I'm looking at the ad for the stuff right now in M&F. OOUUCCHH!!!$89.00 bucks for a 30 day supply! Yeah billk it claims to be a transdermal gel. Active ingredient is called epidril.Says it helps mobilize surface fat on contact. Seems to claim visable results in 10 days. I'm gonna do a little search on this and see if I can pin down some facts. If it sounds to good to be true....hmmmm

Yes, I agree with you skeld2001. It does sound a little fishy. If it is transdermal it could be dangerous to use, since anything that comes in contact with it will be taken into your body.

All I can find so far is the industry hype on this stuff, no research data to back it up. The ads say it melts the fat and sends it into the blood stream. Even if thats true, would that be a good thing? It's gotta land somewhere don't it? I mean I'm no prodigy or anything but one thing that makes fat bellies hazardous to your health is the fact that the fat has easy access to your blood stream via the intestine. Just a thought..??

My freind is using it right now. And he says it works. Its supposed to increase circulation to that part and burn fat. It cost him $80.00 and he says it's worth it. I don't know for sure personally.

Hey Rob, can you see a difference in the way he looks? If this stuff really works, without side effects, that would be a very cool product. A lot of people have those sticky spots that seem to resist the efforts they make to rid themselves of fat.

This stuff won't work. The active ingredient in it is aminophylline which is used as an asthma medication. Aminophylline works by blocking an enzyme called phosphodiesterase. This causes an increase in tissue concentrations of cAMP which in turn promotes catacholamine stimulation of lipolysis among other things. This is the basis for the product's claims. These aminophylline creams and gels were popular a couple of years ago when they were marketed as a cellutie remover. There was some slight smoothing of the cellulite but they really did not work all that well.In my opinion they are not worth the cost.

Well, sfolk I think you pretty much closed the book on this one! As an obituary for Mr. Cutting Gel I'd just like to ad a few words to help those who are expeiencing a time of grief over the untimely passing of our latest sports supplement hype. To everyone unexprienced with the industry. They will tell you any thing to sell their product! Your mother told you that "if it sounds to good to be true it most likely is" Consumer Affairs told you buyer beware! And we all told you to keep your money in your pocket and don't but it! R.I.P.
