i dont know but i juust worked out my legs with squats and leg presses and my legs are sore as all hell

they both have a differnt effect i tihnk front squats are harder and u have to use less weight but they work as good as regular squats i tihnk im not sure

I read an article that said they both aclomplish the same thing but squats behind the neck are safer and you can go heavier,.

Yes, however, they do tend to work the muscle differently, and front squats require a better sence of balance and a good spotter.

Hey legend,
Front squats are similar to squats in the movement is the same, but you carry the weight in front of you. You use a much lighter weight on a barbell, cross your arms, holding the barbell to your shoulders and chest. It takes more balance (imho) and you need to be careful not to pitch forward. The first time go really light AND use a spotter, b/c feels very different ever though the motion is basically the same as a regular squat.
