i love doing squats, but
i know i can do more then what IM currently lifting,
just my right knee tend to slow me down..
it hurts a little ,, the more a stretch it the less
painfull .but
a )why only my right knee?
b) i thought of warping my right knee
but i heard from few guys not such a good idea
c) what are the most effective stretch for legs,
especially the front of my thigh.
D.)i rotate my squatting one week i do
free bar and one week i do assistance bar , which i like
more cause i can keep my back more stright.push my
back towards the bar to keep my back straight .
Also can left heavier weight .
i hate to stop doing squats cause my
right knee hurts,,i must mention when i started doing squats after a week off,,the first week was more painful .
any one delt with this let me know.
thanks a million .

It could be your technique or just simply the amount of weights you are trying to lift or both. Unless you plan on lifting heavy every single time, you should not need knee wraps.

Review your technique closely and go lighter with the weights. If that is still causing you pain, you may have sustained an injury. You should consult with your physician at that point.

Good luck!

nahh man

I don't think its the heavy weight,
cause my first set its less then half of my
Max, the pain gradually start to build up.
as i go on ,

I don't think I got injured, if I did
IM sure it hurts all the time not when IM
working my legs.

Do you feel this pain when you walk up a hill or up or down stairs? I have a pian in my right knee that "flashes" across right underneath the knee cap. I went to the doc he said it is a knee cap tracking problem. I was to go to phsy therpay, but at the time could not take off from work to do so. It is still there but when I do squats regular it stops. I would go see a ortho doc to make sure what is going on.

the pain ,,,only when i do
squats ,,i never experienced the pain after..
a little sometime i think is just sore after
the work out but nothing serious..
my pain is on top, little to the top of my knee.
the pain is only when i do squats ,,,
the crazy thing is when i do leg press ,,
to start, for my first leg work out, there is no pain in my knee, i dont know man,
this Tendonitis ,does heal with time .??

Yes it does but it takes complete rest. If the pain is in the top part of the thigh I really think it is a muscle problem and you should see a Doc if you can other than that Rest Ice Compression elevation (RICE) it.

Do you stretch out before lifting. If it bothers you that much rest, and then when you resume incorporate a stretching routine.

I think I solved the pain on my right knee.
Today I worked my legs. Almost with no knee pain at all.
what helped??, IM not sure. But here what I did ...
Friday i did light 3 sets of leg curls only.
plus regular workout.
for the past 3 days i took 1500 mg of glucosamine sulfate per day.
i stretched for about 10 minutes before squatting.
a knee brace for my right knee.
i did 5 sets, my last set 295lbs
with almost no knee pain. i weight 202
i didn't know what to expect, but i was concern a little that knee pain may slow me down.
im happy with today's result .
thanks for everyone's help,
lets see how it feels tonight...
