I am taking a thermogenic fat burner to give me a boost prior to my work outs, is this OK? I only take it once a day about an hour before I work out? It will not affect my mass building routine? Right?

Nope it'll not affect your mass building routine BUT give you more energy.
People tend to react differently with those pills so you'll see yourself if you'll like it or not.
