hey i am new i am only 13 years old but im trying to look lean and built because i am switching to a public school and i am gonna need the muscle

Fill out your profile.. and with ft programs you should build up in no time.. which program did you sign up for?.. the 12 or 8 week mass program.. and i'd hope your pub school isn't that bad...

Although at 13, you really shouldn't be too focused on weight lifting. Instead, I can recommend a good martial arts program.

Thats kinda young to lift I think, but I am not your daddy..LOL Maybe some good runs, push ups, pull ups, sit ups, plus some sporting activities should be plenty.

why shouldn't 13 year olds lift? I am just curious.

And qualters is way too busy being my daddy, so he can't be yours too. (just teasing)

They're not fully developed yet. There isn't sufficient evidence either way as to whether or not it can be harmful so be safe. And I second Rob. Find a good dojo. Remember someone who goes looking for a fight will never be as prepared as someone ready for them.

Good advice. Lifting might be ok at the age of 13, but I just wouldnt advise it. Maybe its because at that age I was just into running everywhere I went, literally, I loved to run. Does that make any sense?...i dont think it did. ohh well, its just using weights seemed too advanced for me, push ups were good enough.
By the way.....whos ya DADDY lumina???.....LOL
