Hey everyone. After several years of unhealthy living I am ready for a completely 180 in lifestyle. I have been psyching myself up for this moment for months and tomorrow it begins. Tomorrow I quit smoking and start the ft workout at home program. From there I plan on moving to the gym with the other programs. I'm really glad I found this sight in my searches for exercise and nutrition info. It has the exact features I was looking for. I especially love the fact that I can log my meals. Keep up the good work ft staff and wish me luck.

Welcome to ft and congratulations on quitting smoking. That alone is a very difficult task and you will find a lot of support from members here. Good luck with your program and don't hesitate to ask questions. There are some really knowledgeable people in here.

Hi you, don't worry too much if you will not be able to completely stop smoking today as well. Why? Because starting to weight train will give you another stress on your body so it might be difficult to stop smoking right ahead.
Just make sure of continueing the weight training and then you'll automatically stop the cigs as well.

Good luck!

Hopefully I won't have to much of a problem quitting smoking, I've been gradually weaning myself off of them for a while. Eating healthier the past couple of months has been a big help. Nowadays I crave to train more than I crave for a dose of nicotine.
