Hiya All - Ive suffered from a slipped disc for 20 years now - and when the programme says that I should do squats - is it OK for me to do leg presses instead ?? - thanks and take care

Hey man I've got a similar problem with disc damage. You should do leg extensions, leg curls, sled work with the weight above your waist, no hack squats. Try and picture exercises that take the pressure off your lower back and puts it more on the body part exercised. I also do my shoulder presses with my back out of the 90 degree line to the seat to take some of the load off my lower back when pushing heavy.
