So I have an old injury from when I used to train 9 years ago. And as I've been training my back I find that I'm continually tweaking the injury. Now it's never horrible and I'm decent at working around it, but I refuse to neglect training my upper back and trapezius.

Description: I have a partial tear of my right trapezius approximately in the high middle of it. I find, I tweak the muscles in one of two ways, either I lightly strain the direct injury or the region in my left trapezius directly across from the injury gets strained.(I'm assuming it's because there is not equal tension)

I can do shrugs, but anything over 135 and I start to feel it. I've tried a couple different things, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for things to try?
