Hi, I'm new and have heard this term and was hoping someone could explain it. Is it something one would do in order to get "cut" or is it beneficial to anyone? I really am happy to have found this site. I am excited about having a program laid out for me and all the great advice that you all have to offer!
Thanks, C

Welcome! Hope that you will stick around and enjoy this great site.

Yes, carb cycling is an effective way to cut. By raising and lowering your carb intake, coupled with diet and exercise, you can prepare for a competition. I have not used it personally, but my work out partner just finished cycling to prepare for a comp, and was really pleased.

Hello metraa! Glad you have joined us. This is a really cool site that you can learn so much from; I know I have. I just wanted to welcome you...don't have an answer to your question but I'm sure others do. Good luck! :0)

Yes, carb cycling is good for cutting. I did it for about a month, but had to stop for extraneous reasons (nothing bad!). I could see my abs more by the end of it, so I think it works pretty well. There have been a few discussions about this, so you may want to do a search.

Where can I read about carb cycling? I haven't seen it mentioned on any of the sites I visit.

I had a better site, but would have to search around to find it...
