How do you lose the belly after a baby?

I just had a baby almost 2 months ago. I lost alot of the weight but still have a belly and some extra weight I can get rid of. What are the best excerises and diet for me to do to get the body I want?

Also, I am still trying to get the routine in place. What are the best workouts for a new mom without alot of time?:(

2 months is not very long.....remember it took almost 10 months for your body to put on all of that excess weight...

Be patient, more weight loss will come with time. As far as the best workouts - research online for some 30 minute workouts. Try to squeeze them in 3 - 5 times a week.


If you are lucky and your baby is on a schedule - pick a time every day that he/she is napping.

Hey, I am in the same boat...just had a baby 6 weeks ago. I am getting anxious to start losing weight as well. I am going to check back to see if anyone has good suggestions for belly tips!:)

has anyone tried basic sit ups? they concentrate on stomache mussles :big_smile:

Sit ups are great - but total body workouts are the best. You just can't spot-reduce fat I'm afraid... I've tried! I had my baby 4.5 months ago and still getting rid of this belly! One great way is to detox for a couple weeks and then lift heavy heavy weights :)

I keep seeing posts about post-childbirth issues with women, like cellulite and stretch marks and weight that won't go away...this makes me dread ever getting pregnant! LOL!
