I have been working hard on loosing weight. I am doing cardio 4 to 5 days a week and weights three days. I am sticking to a 1200 calorie diet and drinking lots of water. I lost 10 pounds in the first month but I have maintained for the lst two weeks. Any suggestion on how to jump start the weight loss again?

Hi - you're not eating enough. You need around 1700 - 1900 cals per day. For me personally it worked - 1700 split in 3 main + 2 snacks a day. 500 cals on each meal + 100 cals for the two snacks. Also late in the evening might snack on a fruit. Lost 2 stone in 5 months.

Hi. I recently read that under 1600 calories is not advisable. It can cause a variety of health issues, it can also cause irratibility and mood swings.

I would suggest maybe changing up the work out routine some, that can sometimes kick start the weight loss.

Less than 12 calories per pound of body weight is unhealthy.
To maintain one would consume about 15. You do the math.

It is also very important to watch your fat, carb, and protein intake you should follow roughly a 30, 30, 50. 30 percent of your calories should be carbs 30 percent should be fat, and 50 percent should be protein. the nutrition tracker that ft is alot of help. Also the time of day is very important. eating carbs in the morning, and before workouts, and portein later in the day and after workout.

If you diet is up to par and you are still not losing weight try switching up your cardio plan. Like trying intensive interval training, and some wind sprints coupled with long distance on other days

Hope this helps
