Has anyone ever order a car and had it build for them from a dealership? If so, I'm curious what it entails, how long it takes and if you can track the progress or anything like that.

It depends on the brand of car. Some companies take a couple weeks while others take 3 months or so. Some let you can track the progress of the build, some don't. Call a car dealership and ask.

I custom ordered a Jeep a few years back, was not a bad process but you have to find a dealership that wants to work with you. Most dealers just want to sell what is on the lots
